Feb 14, 2022

flouting sops is not a crime

There is no need to remove Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein from chairing the COVID-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting after he flouted SOPs.

PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says violating SOPs is not a criminal offence.

He adds that authorities have already ordered Datuk Seri Hishammuddin to be issued a compound for the violation.

The Prime Minister was responding to calls for Datuk Seri Hishamuddin’s resignation, after he was seen at a political event without maintaining physical distancing measures.
