MOH could make Aidilfitri announcement next week

The Health Minister has hinted that there could be an announcement next week on the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
However, Khairy Jamaluddin did not give specifics.
He is also once again encouraging high-risk senior citizens to get a second Covid-19 booster shot.
KJ explained that even though the second booster is not compulsory, those at risk are urged to get the shot, especially since many will be travelling over the holidays.
The number of new Covid-19 cases rose to 7,140 yesterday.
It was over 500 infections more than the previous day’s tally.
The number of fatalities also rose to 16.
While there were more than 14,400 recoveries.

Five major traffic offences will not be compoundable during the upcoming festive season traffic operation, which begins on the 29th.
The Transport Ministry says during the operation, cases involving speeding, driving on the emergency lane, using a phone while driving, beating red lights and changing lanes recklessly…will have to be settled in court.

Police have uncovered the latest attempt by scammers to obtain people’s personal data.
The cops say the tactic involves sending out messages on social media, asking users to fill out a form for a special financial grant.
Bukit Aman says its not received any reports yet of people falling victim, but urged the public not to disclose personal data to a third party, especially on social media.
