No reason to delay new face mask guidelines

There is no reason to delay the newly announced face mask guidelines, despite concerns of a possible spike in COVID-19 cases during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says the ministry took several factors into consideration before making the decision.
However, KJ says even though wearing a face mask outdoors will no longer be mandatory from May 1st, people are encouraged to put on a mask in crowded open spaces.

MEF wants special approval to overcome foreign worker shortage
The Malaysian Employers Federation wants special approval to be given, to use the labour among refugees, undocumented migrant workers, and certain prisoners.
The MEF says its to overcome a shortage of foreign workers, despite the government already lifting the freeze on foreign worker recruitment since February.
It adds that there are reportedly close to 170,000 refugees in Malaysia, and over 60% of them are potentially employable.

Tun M: Bullying is nothing to be proud of
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohd has reminded students that bullying is nothing to be proud of, after a video went viral showing a student in Langkawi being assaulted by a group of school mates.
Meanwhile, Langkawi police have taken the statements of 13 secondary school students, believed to be involved in the alleged bullying incident.
They have since been released on police bail.
