We’ll have to put up with the haze until at least the middle of the month.
Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad says there’s been an improvement in air quality over the past couple of days because of the rain.
However, the haze is forecast to persist for another week or two.
Meanwhile, at last look only Sri Aman in Sarawak has recorded unhealthy API readings this morning.

The Prime Minister says he has yet to make a decision about a Cabinet reshuffle amid widespread speculation about an imminent change.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also clarified that his audience with the Yang DiPertuan Agong yesterday was a routine pre-Cabinet meeting and had nothing to do with any reshuffle.
The PM is scheduled to travel to Sabah and then to Abu Dhabi in the coming days…which would suggest that any announcement on Cabinet changes would not happen in anytime soon.

There were no Malaysians caught up in yesterday’s fatal shooting at a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand.
Our embassy there says it will continue to monitor the situation closely, adding that any Malaysian nationals affected can contact it for assistance.
Thai police say two foreign nationals were killed in the shooting, with about half a dozen others injured.
The gunman, believed to be a 14-year-old with a history of receiving treatment for mental health issues, has been arrested.
