More Rain For Pahang, Johor
Dec 27, 2023
Residents in Pahang and Johor should brace for more wet weather.
This is after MetMalaysia issued an alert-level continuous rain warning for parts of these two states until tomorrow.
They are Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang, and Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and JB, in Johor.
This, as Segamat became the second district in Johor to be hit by monsoon floods, after Mersing.
At last look, around 100 evacuees are currently at temporary shelters in these two districts.
Another 170 people have been evacuated in Sabah.
However, the east coast continues to be the worst-affected, with over 17 thousand evacuees in Kelantan, 7 thousand in Terengganu and 90 in Pahang.
