Keep An Eye On Pets During Hot Spell
Mar 27, 2024
Pet owners need to keep an eye out for symptoms that their furry friends are suffering from the effects of the current hot weather.
Dr. S. Saravanakumar – a senior adviser with Humane Society International – says this includes excessive panting or drooling… fatigue… behavioral changes…and in extreme cases, even seizures.
He says you need to take your pet to a vet immediately if they display any of these signs…adding that the same also applies to farm animals.
Saravanakumar also says its crucial to ensure the animals are well hydrated and kept indoors or in a shaded area during the hot weather.
