Media reports say that she has fled the country, following widespread protests over the weekend, which left at least 90 people dead.
The Bangladeshi Army Chief has announced that an interim government will be established shortly.
Meanwhile, footage has emerged of protestors storming into and looting Hasina's official residence in Dhaka.
The protests initially started as a demonstration against civil service job quotas, but later expanded to a wider anti-government movement.
