Musa Aman Is New Sabah Governor

Former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman is now the state’s new Yang DiPertua Negeri.
He was presented with the Instrument of Appointment by His Majesty The King of Malaysia this morning and was also conferred the title of Tun.
Musa will replace Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, whose term as Sabah governor expires on December 31st.

The government is once again calling on social media companies to do more, to combat fraudulent content on their platforms.
The Deputy Communications Ministry says many companies like Meta do not have proper screening procedures, citing the example of a recent post where scammers impersonated the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
It also revealed that more than 56 thousand posts containing fraudulent content have been taken down this year, as part of the government’s efforts to combat online crime.

This, after the Met Department recently issued a yellow alert for continuous rain for parts of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang until Thursday.

The Health Ministry says the sugar tax has been successful in cutting down on our consumption of sweetened drinks.
It says over 200 beverage products have been reformulated to contain less sugar for the Malaysian market following the introduction of the tax.
