Tok Mat: Sorry For The Road Closures

The Foreign Minister has apologised to Klang Valley residents who were inconvenienced by road closures during the official visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping.
Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan has also proposed several measures to reduce further inconveniences, during the upcoming ASEAN summits in May and October
This includes making Work from Home, and Home-Based Teaching and Learning arrangements, if there are any road closures for these meetings.
Meanwhile govt spokesman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil hailed President Xi's visit as a huge success, as it further improved diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries, amid an uncertain global economy.
31 MoUs were signed during the president's visit, covering strategic areas including communications, education, defense, investment and tourism.
Also, the the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry says Malaysia will receive a new pair of giant pandas from China over the next decade.

Candidates who sat for the 2024 SPM can get their results from their respective schools on Thursday, April 24th starting from 10am.
The Education Ministry says results for private candidates will be set out via post, or by contacting their respective state Education Departments.
You can also get your results online, through the Education Ministry's portal or via SMS.

MARA will soon start the process of hiring full-time wardens among retired army and police personnel for MRSM junior science colleges.
The MARA chairman made the proposal recently, to help prevent bullying cases at such institutions.
The initiative will start with a pilot programme at selected MRSM campuses before being expanded nationwide.

A woman in her 50s has been remanded for 2 weeks to help investigate the kidnap-for-ransom of a teenage girl last week.
Earlier reports said that six people were taken into custody over the case while one suspect was shot dead by police.
