'Fairer' Electricity Tariffs Announced For Peninsula Users

Some 23 million users in the peninsula will enjoy fairer and more progressive electricity rates, when the new tariff schedule comes into effect next month.
According to the Energy Commission, it includes a lower average base tariff.
Meanwhile, off-peak hours will be extended – it will run from 10pm to 2pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
It's to encourage consumption during low-demand periods.
You can check the new rates starting tomorrow, while a bill calculator will be available on the TNB website starting Monday.

Bukit Aman's Special Branch chief Datuk Seri Khalid Ismail has been appointed the next Inspector General of Police.
