Cops Probe Bus vs Cyclist Incident

Police are investigating a recent incident along Jalan Kuala Selangor – KL, in which a group of cyclists obstructed a bus route.  

They urged anyone with info to come forward to assist in the probe.  

This, after viral footage showed a bus driver confronting the cyclists over the incident.  

Earlier reports said that the cyclists were obstructing traffic flow by riding side-by-side, in breach of road safety rules, which state that they MUST ride in a single file.

So far, the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has investigated 16 complaints since the SST expansion came into force last week.   

KPDN also conducted checks on nearly 300 business premises nationwide during its ongoing Ops Kesan operation.   

Notices have been sent to two business owners, to answer questions over their pricing practices.

The DPM says guardrails and streetlights may be installed along the stretch of road in Kedah where 6 people died after their car plunged into a river.  

It's because the route has a history of similar incidents, with 10 reported deaths since 2012.

The Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry says Malaysia is still committed to engaging with the US over a “balanced” and “mutually beneficial” trade agreement between the two countries. 

This, after US president Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on Malaysian goods starting next month.
