Beware Fake TikTok Accounts With Minister's Name

Beware of fake TikTok accounts misusing the name and image of the Home Minister to offer non-existent financial aid.
According to the ministry, this is part of a scam, to deceive unsuspecting victims into making advance payments.
It adds that three such accounts have already been blocked by TikTok, but is not ruling out the possibility of more being created.

The authorities are stepping up efforts to crack down on the sale of drug-laced vape products.
The Health Ministry says its working closely with the police over the matter.
This includes improving oversight at the manufacturing and production stage, to detect these illegal substances at the source.
96 investigation papers about vape products containing illicit drugs have been recorded between early last year and March…of which 70 percent tested positive for synthetic narcotics.

Separately, the Health Ministry says it has no authority to stop Malaysian healthcare workers from taking up overseas job offers.
All it can do, is improve working conditions and benefits to encourage these workers to stay.

The number of dengue cases in the country has seen an over 58 percent decline between January and July, compared to the same period last year.
