Egg Supplies Remain Stable

There's no need to worry about the supply of chicken eggs in the domestic market.

The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry says there's enough to meet the local demand, despite authorities reducing the subsidy rate by five sen.

The government had previously announced that price control on chicken eggs would be lifted while the subsidy rate would be reduced, which took effect May 1st.

The subsidy will be fully discontinued on August 1st.

The Housing and Local Government Ministry will impose penalties on concession companies if their solid waste management services are unsatisfactory.

The ministry has also directed all local authorities to closely monitor cleanliness in their respective areas.

Meanwhile, its minister also encouraged the public to lodge complaints on issues such as waste collection, street and drain cleaning, and even grass cutting.

Police have arrested a foreign student for slashing his ex-girlfriend at a private college in Subang Jaya yesterday.

Cops say the victim is in critical, but stable condition.

Authorities add that they're still investigating the motive behind the attack.

Separately, Police have opened investigations into a controversial marriage motivation program that was held late last year for allegedly breaking laws regarding obscene acts, modesty, and public decency.

And US President Donald Trump has given Russia 50 days to end the war with Ukraine.

He says failure to do so will result in severe tariffs, adding that the US will also start sending weapons to Ukraine via Nato countries.
