Zara Qairina Case: Let The Legal Process Run Its Course

Aug 05, 2025

zara qairina case: let the legal process run its course

People must allow the legal process to run its course, over the high-profile death of Form 1 student Zara Qairina in Sabah.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution says the investigation report has already been submitted to the Attorney General's Chambers, and it will be sent back if the AGC things that it is incomplete...

He said this, following claims from the victim's family that the investigation report was flawed.

Separately, the Home Ministry is considering amending current laws or introduce a new one to tackle the sale of drugs on social media platforms including WhatsApp.

It admits that it's difficult for authorities to detect such activities, especially those conducted on a small scale.

NGO's have reminded social media influencers NOT resort to content that dehumanizes or exploits vulnerable groups like the homeless.

They told FMT that any efforts to help homeless people must be genuine, and it should never become a cheap gimmick.

They were responding to the public outcry, after a group of influencers gave food scraps to a homeless individual.

Meanwhile, MCMC is investigating the case, and the influencers could face legal action if their actions broke any laws.
