Melaka Suspects Will Still Sit For SPM

The four male suspects, accused of sexually assaulting a junior at a secondary school in Melaka, will still be allowed to sit for their SPM exam.

The Education Ministry stressed that the four still have a right to education even though the case is now under police investigation.

All four suspects have since been remanded to assist with the probe.

PTPTN loans for poor and hardcore poor students who are pursuing studies at public universities, will be converted into scholarships from next year.

This is in line with the recent initiative announced by the Prime Minister under Budget 2026.

The nine Malaysians who were detained by Israeli forces while participating in humanitarian missions to Gaza, have arrived safely back home.
