Nov 13, 2025

klang incident wasn't a shooting

Last night's viral incident at a Klang petrol station was not a shooting.

Police clarified that it was actually an attempt by a robbery suspect to avoid arrest.

According to South Klang district police, the suspect allegedly attacked and attempted to run over cops who were trying to detain him over a recent robbery case.

No gunshots were fired during the incident.

The suspect has since been arrested and is being investigated under charges including attempted murder.

Malaysian singer Namewee has been released on police bail for two weeks, amid ongoing investigations into the death of a Taiwanese influencer.

This, pending the autopsy report into the victim.

The influencer was found dead at a hotel in KL, after meeting the controversial singer to discuss filming a video.

Namewee is also facing trial for alleged drug possession and consumption linked to the case.

The PM says the govt is only lodging an appeal against the legal grounds for a court ruling over Sabah's revenue entitlement, which is deemed to have gone beyond legal boundaries.

According to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the ruling implies that federal and state governments from the 1970s until now had acted unlawfully and neglected their responsibility to Sabah.

He again clarified that the government is not appealing against the actual 40% revenue entitlement.

Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has confirmed that December 2nd is his last day as Investment Trade and Industry Minister, when his term as a Dewan Negara senator expires.

Tengku Zafrul adds that he is ready to continue serving the govt, including as an advisor, but that's for the PM to decide.
