Bomba Is Ready To Handle The Floods

The Fire and Rescue Department is well equipped to handle flooding.
It reassured that it has enough personnel to respond, even if all states were to be hit by floods simultaneously.
The department explained that in such a scenario, personnel would be directed to switch from 12-hour to 24-hour work shifts.
It adds that even with the recent Typhoon Senyar incident combined with the monsoon season, the department still did not have to utilize 100% of its manpower.

Vehicles belonging to Malaysians that were damaged during the recent floods in Hat Yai, Thailand, will undergo a special inspection when they are brought back.
The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency explained that this will help prevent smuggling syndicates from taking advantage of the situation.
Earlier, Thai authorities granted 15 Malaysian tow trucks permission to enter the country and retrieve an estimated 500 vehicles which have been stuck there since last month.

Misconduct in public agencies is on the rise.
The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission says it's investigated nearly 40% more cases so far compared to the same period last year.
Agencies with the most cases include the Immigration Department, Road Transport Department, Labor Department, and National Anti-Drug Agency among others.
As such, the commission is urging authorities to quickly address shortcuts, procedural violations, and misuse of resources immediately to avoid normalizing misconduct.
