95% of patients recovered from COVID-19

Over 95 percent of Covid-19 patients in the country have made a full recovery.

This adds up to over 8,100 cases, including the 76 recoveries recorded yesterday.

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said 21 new COVID-19 infections were reported yesterday, taking the total number of active cases in the country to 289.

New COVID-19 cluster detected in Sepang, Selangor

A new COVID-19 cluster has been detected, involving five positive cases so far in Sepang, Selangor.

The Health Ministry says those affected are all from the same family.

The source of the infection is stll being investigated, athough authorities believe the patients could have been infected while visiting others.

Over 1,000 Johor citizens evacuated due to flash floods

Some 1,200 people had to be evacuated to temporary relief centers, after flash floods hit five districts in Johor yesterday.

Pontian was the worst-affected district with more than 340 evacuees, followed by Batu Pahat, Muar, Kluang and Tangkak.

Officials say all relief centers have also been directed to follow the Health Ministry's SOP's to prevent COVID-19 infections among the evacuees.
