No quarantine is required for people returning from a trip to Sabah!

The government has dismissed viral messages claiming that a 14-day mandatory quarantine must be followed because of Covid-19 infections there.

The Senior Minister for Security says although there is a Covid-19 cluster at the Tawau detention centre, they did not mingle with people from outside.

He explained that Sabah is a green zone state, and it is safe for Malaysians to enter and return from Sabah, without the need to undergo quarantine.

The Federal Territories Ministry is looking at implementing an early warning system and adding more retention ponds to address flash floods in KL.

It says it is ready to work with other ministries and government agencies including the Environmental Crimes Unit, which will be launched today.

The Ministry says sediment-clogged drains around KL has been identified as one of the causes of the flash floods in the Klang Valley last week.
