Sabah returnees required to complete 14-day home quarantine

Oct 14, 2020

All those returning from Sabah must undergo the full 14-day home quarantine even if they test negative for Covid-19.

The Health Ministry says this is because the number of cases involving Sabah returnees continued to rise despite the Ministry’s plea for self-isolation.

This comes as we recorded 4 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, as new cases shoot back up to 660.

But, the country also recorded the highest daily recovery rate at 350 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 5,345.

The Health Ministry has detected 6 new Covid-19 clusters.

It says 4 of which were in Sabah, while the rest are in Selangor and Penang respectively.

Meanwhile, the Ministry revealed that 23 Covid-19 clusters were caused nationwide by index cases who had a history of travelling to Sabah.
