Malaysia reports 1,240 new COVID-19 cases

Seven more people have died due to COVID-19, raising our death toll to 236.
Meanwhile, Malaysia continues to report a surge in new cases, after 1,240 more infections were recorded today.
Sabah reported the highest number with 927, followed by 177 in Selangor, and Penang 61.
The Health Ministry also detected three new clusters nationwide.

CMCO in KL, Selangor and Putrajaya extended
A Conditional MCO is set to be enforced in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the order will come into effect from this Wednesday until November 10th.
On another note, Datuk Seri Ismail says the Conditional MCO in Selangor, KL and Putrajaya will NOT end tomorrow as scheduled.
The order will be extended for two more weeks until November 9th.
This, as several affected areas are still declared as COVID-19 high risk areas.

No news from special Cabinet meeting
There is still no news regarding the special Cabinet meeting chaired by PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin earlier today.
It is believed the meeting was over the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decree not to impose a state of emergency amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, several Barisan Nasional MPs were seen at PWTC for a meeting today, following the Agong’s decree.
Among the attendees were Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein, Khairy Jamaluddin, and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
