Health DG: CMCO has brought down Covid-19 infectivity rate

The nation has seen improvement following the implementation of Conditional MCO.
The Health Ministry says there has been a drop in the infectivity rate value from 2.2 in the beginning of the Covid-19 third wave to the current 1.2.
This comes as we recorded 835 Covid-19 cases and two deaths , bringing the number of active cases to nearly 10,000.
All reflexology centres and entertainment outlets in Sarawak are to be closed indefinitely, starting today.
State officials decided to do so, after considering the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in the state, adding that it is difficult to monitor and ensure that such premises adhered to the SOPs.
The Perak Assembly has passed a bill to amend the state constitution, to lower the voting age and the eligible age of electoral candidates from 21 to 18.
The amendment was in line with the Federal Constitution and was passed after a unanimous support from all 59 state assemblymen.
