Health DG: MOH considering 10-day quarantine period for those now in isolation

The Health Ministry is considering allowing those currently under mandatory quarantine to be released after 10 days, instead of 14 days.
It says those isolating will be tested for a second time on the 8th or 9th day, and if the test returns negative, they can be released.
Malaysia has recorded 1,371 new Covid-19 cases, putting the number of total infections in the country to surpass 84 thousand.
Selangor once again recorded the highest by state, with 532 cases followed by Sabah and Negeri Sembilan.
Meanwhile, among the four Covid-19 deaths reported yesterday was a middle-aged woman who died before being brought to a hospital in Ipoh, Perak.
Two new Covid-19 clusters have been detected in Selangor and KL with both being workplace clusters.
26 people from the Senu Setia cluster in Kepong, KL have been screened, of whom 13 tested positive, all foreigners.
