Government can't disclose COVID-19 vaccine cost

The government is unable to disclose the cost of the COVID-19 vaccine as it would go against terms set by vaccine suppliers.
Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says breaching these terms could jeopardize Malaysia's efforts in securing the vaccine.
However, he says he is prepared to meet with the Public Accounts Committee to provide information on the vaccines provided they agree to a non-disclosure agreement.

EMCO enforced at Muar rehab centre, EMCO lifted at Penang condo
An Enhanced MCO is set to be enforced at a rehabilitation center in Muar, Johor due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
The Defence Minister says the order will take effect from midnight tonight.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at the Sierra East Condominium in Penang has been lifted.

Over 1,300 new coronavirus infections
1,348 new COVID-19 cases were reported today.
Selangor continues to record the highest tally with 535 infections, followed by 226 in KL and Sabah 189.
Meanwhile five more people have succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 444.
