Woman fined for abandoning toddler

The woman who abandoned a 3-year-old toddler at a house in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan been fined 10 thousand ringgit.

The 37-year-old, who pleaded guilty to a charge of child abandonment, was also ordered to do 240 hours of community service.

She reportedly abandoned the boy, said to be the son of a friend, so that she could go back to her hometown to care for her sick mother.
