A couple in Subang Jaya has been remanded for a week

A couple in Subang Jaya has been remanded for a week, after their 9-year-old son died of suspected abuse. 

According to Subang Jaya district police, the victim had bruises on his body, and a post-mortem revealed internal bleeding, believed to have been caused by being punched and beaten with a cane.

Initial investigations found that the father had a criminal record for drug offences, while the mother was involved in fraud and burglary cases.
