A 62 year old woman has pleaded not guilty to abusing her six year old grand-niece.
The girl was repeatedly beaten, apparently for spilling her food, at a house in Puchong last September.
The incident was caught on camera, and subsequently went viral online, leading to the woman's arrest.
She has been charged under the Child Act 2001, and faces a maximum 20 year jail term or 50 thousand ringgit fine if convicted.
