Sarawak's Tourism Ministry has decided to accept the implementation of the Tourism Tax.

However, one of its conditions is the tax collection from state hotels be channeled directly back to the state, without going through a 3rd party.

Meanwhile, Sabah wants to talk to the Sarawak Tourism Ministry about the Tourism Tax.

Kota Kinabalu says it will draft a joint memorandum with Sarawak, in the spirit of cooperation.

The outcome of the decision will be submitted to the state's Chief Minister and the PM.
