The Public should be wary of a phone scam from people claiming to be KL traffic police officers.

The Public should be wary of a phone scam from people claiming to be KL traffic police officers.  

The City traffic police chief says the scammers would call up their victims, telling the victims that they have been implicated in a road accident.

They would also be told to bank in money, to settle the case.

Anyone contacted by the scammers have been advised to first verify traffic police, before doing anything. 

He also urged victims to go to their nearest police station to lodge a report on the matter.
