Bank Negara foiled a cyber heist attempt on Tuesday.

Someone had tried to transfer out money using falsified SWIFT messages, but the central bank caught it in time and did not suffer any financial losses.

It's now conducting an investigation in collaboration with local and international law enforcement agencies to find the perpetrator.
