The number of ultra-rich in Malaysia rose to 310 last year, and is expected to almost double in 4 years time.

The Wealth Report 2018 categorises the ultra-rich as those who have more than 190 million ringgit in net assets.

Most of M'sia's elite earned their fortunes through property investments while the new financial technology sector has also created new wealth.
