H5N1: No need to quarantine affected areas.

The Health Ministry says there's no immediate need to quarantine areas found positive for H5N1 bird flu

This is because there there have been no cases of human infection in these areas. 

The ministry adds, it's implementing various preventive measures and spreading awareness to those concerned.

This, as H5N1 was detected 2 new areas in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. 

According to the state Veterinary Services Department, as of last Friday, 28 locations in 6 districts have been confirmed as being H5N1-positive.
