KL gets flooded again

Several areas in KL were affected by floods yesterday following a heavy downpour.

11 major roads were affected, including Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Dutamas and Jalan Duta.

The KL Fire and Rescue Department had to use 2 pumps to suck water out of the basement of Wisma Teck in Jalan Tun Perak which was inundated up to 2.1 metres.

The authorities also said one of the reasons for the flash floods was the Smart Tunnel was not closed to traffic to release water.
