Tories, DUP close to forming UK govt
Jun 11, 2017
Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party have agreed in principle a "confidence and supply" deal with the PM's Theresa May's Conservative Party.
The Tories need to form a partnership with the DUP after the snap election resulted in a hung parliament.
However, the proposed union is opposed by many in the UK political arena due to the right-wing party's extreme religious views.
It has also rejected climate change.
Meanwhile, more than half a million Britons have signed a petition protesting the cooperation.
Also, hundreds of people have marched in London against the alliance.
