Guatemala to move embassy to Jerusalem

Guatemala has announced that it will join the US in moving its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. 

This comes days after Guatemala voted against a UN motion, that called on America to drop its recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. 

The Trump administration had threatened to cut financial assistance to those that supported the UN resolution.

Guatemala is a major recipient of US aid.
