Facebook chooses Germany to launch new measures

Facebook has chosen Germany to launch measures to combat the spread of fake news stories.

When the feature is launched in a few weeks, users will be able to flag suspicious stories which will be passed to 3rd party fact-checkers for verification.

If found to be unreliable, the stories will be marked in users' news feeds as disputed.
