Police confirm duo found dead on Penang beach had drowned

Police have confirmed that a woman and a two-year-old, who were found dead on a beach in Penang yesterday, died of drowning.

The post-mortem also confirmed that the woman was 11 weeks pregnant.

The cops believe that the woman and child, who were found tied together with string, were related.
