29 million seized over embezzlement involving Ministry

The MACC has seized another 29 million ringgit in its probe into the alleged embezzlement of a Ministry's funds for rural projects.

This, after it raided more than a dozen locations in Sabah yesterday, and froze over 150 million ringgit in a bank account connected to the case.

However, the MACC has yet to reveal the name of the Ministry involved.

It was reported that certain officials worked with some companies to siphon off funds meant to help the rural community, including for water and electricity supply upgrades.
