19 Malaysians in Mexico are safe

The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that 19 Malaysians living in Mexico are safe, after a huge earthquake killed nearly 250 people in central Mexico.

The Ministry, says our embassy in Mexico City will continue to keep a close eye on the situation there.

At least 25 of the fatalities involved kids, after their elementary school in the capital collapsed. 

Mexico's President has declared an emergency in the affected areas, with the military to be deployed to handle the response.
