Man dies of rabies in Sarawak

A 52-year-old man in Serian, Sarawak has died, a little over a week after he tested positive for rabies.

He is the first adult to succumb to the disease, after four other children also died recently after being infected.

The Health Ministry says there are currently no new human infections.

It adds that 20 districts in the Serian, Sri Aman and Kuching divisions, are still considered rabies-infected areas.
