Government vows transparency in rice investigation

Amid rumours that there's plastic rice in the market, the government has vowed transparency in its investigation. 

The Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry says it will reveal lab test results on rice samples.

Stern action will also be taken if it's proven that rice milling companies have something to do with the plastic rice.  

Samples have already been taken from a wholesaler in Perak, with test results to be ready in about a week.
