MCMC takes action against fake social media accounts

The MCMC has taken action against more than 4,300 fake social media accounts.

Its Minister says 80 percent of the accounts have been taken down, for failing to meet regulations set by the social media companies.

Meanwhile, 40 websites have also been blacklisted, for spreading fake news.
