Remand extended for 3 men over fake academic scrolls case

The MACC has extended the remand of three men, believed to be involved in a syndicate producing fake academic scrolls, under the names of private institutions in the country.

The trio, including an Indian national, were arrested in KL on Sunday.

Yesterday, the MACC arrested and remanded a fourth suspect, believed to have supplied the fake certificates.

It's taking the matter seriously, as many companies have fallen victim to the syndicate, employing people who bought the fake qualifications.
