RFID tags for locally-registered vehicles

The government is currently in talks with Touch ‘n Go, to distribute RFID tags for free to locally-registered cars.
The Transport MInistry says the RFID system is similar in scope to Singapore's ERP, and will be ready for use next year.
However, its implementation will be carried out in stages.
The RFID tag is meant to eventually take over from Touch n Go for toll collection.
