The KL High Court has given the greenlight for the Gadek assemblyman to apply for bail, amid investigations over his links to terror group LTTE.

The court ordered the Sessions Court to hear his bid for bail eventhough he is being detained under the Security Offences Special Measures Act, Sosma.

In usual circumstances, the court will not be allowed to grant bail to offenders detained under Sosma.

Sarawak has denied rumours that it opposes the Federal govt's move to raise the minimum legal marriageable age to 18.

It says the state has 3 legal systems for marriage, which are civil, shariah and customary.

It adds, each has its own set of guidelines.
