EC starts work towards lowering voting age

18-year-olds should be able to vote in elections by July 2021.
The Election Commission set the target date, saying its now working on amendments to the necessary laws and SOPs to lower the voting age from 21.
Its also working on getting the system in place for automatic voter registration.
The EC says the lower voting age and the automatic registration is expected to bring the number of registered voters to about 22.7 million.

MOH moves to ease congestion at govenrment hospitals for mental health patients
Those who are facing mild mental health issues, are advised to seek counselling from doctors at government health clinics or private clinics first, before seeing a psychiatrist at a public hospital.
The Health Minister says this will help ease the congestion at govenrment hospitals, and allow major cases to be given quick attention.
