New Petrol Subsidy System is POSTPONED
Dec 30, 2019
The targeted Petrol Subsidy Scheme will not be implemented as scheduled at the start of the New Year.
The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says the Cabinet has decided to postpone the scheme until further notice, because the govt needs more time to brief the public about it.
It's also to give the govt time to compile the list of M40 middle-income earners, who'll enjoy the subsidy.
