Babies born from Jan 1 this year eligible for free pneumococcal vaccine

The government will introduce pneumococcal vaccinations for children starting from June.
But, the Health Ministry says only those born in 2020 onwards are entitled to the free vaccinations.
The government has allocated RM60mil for the vaccination programme and are still in the midst of acquiring the vaccination.
The Kimanis by-election, the 10th by-election under the Pakatan Harapan govt, can proceed with nomination day tomorrow.
This is after former foreign minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman again failed to challenge a court’s decision that nullified his victory in Kimanis in GE14.
The Federal Court dismissed his review application over a previous decision that ruled Anifah was not duly elected in GE14.

JPJ has deferred the implementation of the Vehicle Entry Permit scheme on all foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia.
This is because many Singapore-registered vehicles still do not have the RFID tag.
The move will mostly affect outbound traffic at Johor’s two main land checkpoints, at the Sultan Iskandar Building in JB as well as the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex in Gelang Patah.
