Cloud seeding begin in Kedah

Cloud seeding operations have started in Kedah to help increase the water levels at the state's dams amid the dry spell there.

It comes as authorities warn that water rationing may have to be implemented in Kedah, if its water problems continue.

Meanwhile, Kuala Kangsar is so far the only area in the country with a level 1 alert for heat, with maximum temperatures of between 35 and 37 degrees celcius for three days in a row.

Penang, JB, KL, Melaka, and Shah Alam are some of the other hot areas, with average temperatures of around 33 degrees celcius.
