Spread of COVID-19 among foreign workers must be monitored closely

Employers, NGOs and also foreign embassies have all been urged to work together to address the spread of Covid-19 among foreign workers in the country.
The Health Director-General says this cooperation is important to ensure these workers abide by the Ministry’s SOPs.
Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah adds that NGO’s and embassies can play their part by communicating with foreign workers about the current developments on Covid-19 and the guidelines they must adhere to.
In a related development, the Health Ministry says it will continue to monitor daily cases in the country over the next week, before deciding whether the Conditional MCO should be lifted after June 9th.

Companies must observe King's birthday next week
The Human Resources Ministry says companies must observe the June 8th public holiday to mark the official birthday of the Yang DiPertuan Agong, adding that it cannot be replaced with another day.
Those who are instructed to work on the date will have to be paid a public holiday rate.
